All Classes for 2012 will be focused on the individual becoming their “whole, healed, expanded” Self. Becoming aware of our own strengths, gifts, wisdom, power, and (what our ancestors called) “Medicine” is becoming more important than ever before.
The energy and vibration of our planet is shifting higher and rapidly, and we are all becoming more aware of our higher Self, of that which is inherent within us, of the unique and specific gifts that we were born with, of that which is ours and ours alone.
The classes I am offering this year are specifically designed to assist us in realizing our highest potential as well as understanding how to bring (this) our Higher Spirit into our daily lives and use it.
I am only offering- one Drum Workshop this year, in which you can choose to make either a Moose Medicine Drum or Buffalo Medicine Drum. It will be held in Elizabeth at the Carlson Building. Awakening Your Medicine -
A seven part class devoted to our expansion, healing, wholeness, empowerment, and awakening.
In this class we will explore using Breath, Chants, Stillness, Meditation, Drumming, Ceremony, (etc.) to find, awaken, understand, expand, and use your Medicine.
As the energy of 2012 raises, more and more of what we have hidden or buried inside will be bubbling up. This marks the beginning of incredible healing and expansion for many of us, and deeper healing (higher expansion) for those of us who have already set out upon this path.
Many will need guidance and clarity, and especially the gathering with others of like minds and energy in order to make the shift that a higher vibration brings about. The most challenging aspect of stepping into your Higher Self is having the time, and a safe and protected space to consciously work on and through that which is rising up from within.
In this class my intention is to offer each one, individually and as a group, the space and the tools they need so to awaken their own Medicine.
The Journey Class -
Journey could be very well be one of our greatest tools, for in order to truly (fully) address, understand, call forth, and use the power we each hold within, we must find our way to a higher (and sometimes deeply hidden) level of knowing.
There are many levels of Journey, many ways to access our own place of Journey, and many ways to use it. Sometimes our inner Self, Spirit, or Knowing speaks to us spontaneously through dreams, day-dreams, imagination, and the like. But “Journey as a Tool” can be learned and mastered through simple instruction and practice.
The greatest hurdle one must overcome in learning to Journey, is letting go of the control of the conscious mind, so to allow that which lies beneath to come through. There are many obstacles (as individual and personal as each person) that can inhibit ones ability to experience Journey (let alone master it), none of which speak to a persons value, ability, personal medicine, or spiritual awareness.
During these four sessions I will offer understanding and instruction to assist you in bringing forth this extraordinary Tool from within yourself. I will lead you in guided journeys and we will use journeys from my Journey CD “Come Walk With Me”, which will be available for purchase at each class.
Buffalo or Moose Medicine Drum -
**Saturday July 28th* 10:00 am - 5:00 pm **$200.00
*Medicine Drum is a sacred and personal Medicine Tool. Medicine Elders and Shamans believe their drum to be the "sacred horse" that carries them into other realms. Old Wisdom teaches us that when we were created, The Great One gave each and every one of us our own sound (mantra). Throughout our lives, many of us have lost touch with that sound quinceanera dresses (just as many of us have lost touch with our inner child). Making your own Medicine Drum can help you reclaim both.
*To the Native American People, the drum is very sacred and carries great power. Every time a drum is played, its song (its intention) is released into the world.
In this workshop you will:
- make your own (18") Medicine Drum and imbue it with your own spirit and intention.
Please consider what intention you want your Medicine Drum to carry. You will need to write that intention and bring it with you to the workshop as it will go into the Medicine Bag you make for your Drum.
- make your own Medicine Bag and Beater
If you have special stones, feathers, herbs, beads, etc. that you feel belong on or with your Medicine Drum please bring them along with you to class. I will supply all materials necessary for you to make your Medicine Drum, Medicine Bag and Beater.
Your Medicine Drum will be made with Buffalo or Moose rawhide. The symbolic qualities of Buffalo and Moose will be discussed in class.
A deposit of $100.00 will be due no later than June 15th, for the July 28th workshop. This will allow me time to prepare the materials for each of you.

Important information about workshops!
All workshops include Lunch!
All of my workshops tend to be a bit lengthy. Partly because there is so much to explain,
partly because the making of the Medicine Tool takes time and
partly because we often get caught-up in deep conversation about Native American
Medicine, Spirituality and the making of Medicine Tools.
Workshop days are fun, full and (often intense) so I highly recommend (and provide) nourishment for the body as well as the Spirit.
I raise Buffalo, so I usually serve Bison (chili, soup, stew or what ever is appropriate).
Most people attending my workshops like to bring something to add to the Feast
and I also suggest you bring a small snack for the mid-morning break.
Some people have special diets (or do not care for bison meat).
For these people I suggest bringing your own lunch as there is no time and actually
no place to go for lunch and as I mentioned before, the classes are somewhat intense.
You really will need nourishment throughout the day.
Also Cherokee People are very fond of celebrating -
at my workshops I celebrate each of you, what I can share with you, what you share with me the gift of life, love, peace and our oneness, for we are ONE people. So for me it is important to Feast together at workshop.
How the Materials for your Medicine Tools are prepared!
I believe it is important for you to know that all of the materials you will use to make your Medicine Tools are prepared only by me. I perform Ceremony on all materials, (each and every piece) for Seven days just before and including the day of your workshop
(a different ceremony for each day). I keep my mind clear and pure as I prepare the materials for each of you individually. I prepare everything in this way to insure that all materials you will need to create your Medicine Tool remain pure and clear, so that your
Medicine Tool carries only your own spirit and your own intention.This is the way true Medicine Tools are meant to be created and how Medicine Tools become an extension of you, an expression of your intension and energy.
This is also why I need to have your sign-up and deposit a month before the workshop.
It really does take a lot of time for me to prepare the materials for each of you individually (and I do take this process very seriously). I prepare everything in the way of my Ancestors, the way I was taught. For me it is very important to maintain the "Old Ways", to honor my ancestors, to honor you and truly, I just couldn't do it any other way.
